What Is TerrainHopper?
TerrainHopper builds all-terrain mobility vehicles for extreme outdoor exploration. Unlike conventional mobility scooters limited to pavements, these vehicles are engineered for off-road performance across wild landscapes. Three core models serve different needs:
Overlander 4ZX
- Four-wheel-drive flagship model
- 250mm ground clearance; climbs gradients up to 35°
- Carries users up to 30 stone (190kg)
- Four 750-watt motors (3000 watts peak power)
- Range: 20–40 miles depending on battery setup
Flatlander
- Two-wheel-drive model
- 120–180mm ground clearance; tackles 30% inclines
- Carries users up to 16 stone (102kg)
- Two 1214-watt motors (2428 watts peak power)
- Range: 8–48 miles depending on battery configuration
Overlander Mini
- Compact version for younger/smaller users (from age 7)
- Four-wheel drive with side roll bars and independent suspension

The suspension system independently absorbs shocks from rocks, roots, kerbs, steps, and uneven ground, reducing jarring impact and enabling longer, more comfortable adventures.
Unique Dual Steering Capability
TerrainHopper uniquely offers both handlebar/throttle steering and joystick steering on the same vehicle, switchable instantly. This addresses fatigue, provides precise handling on difficult terrain, and allows companion assistance when safe.
British Engineering and Safety
All models are CE approved as Class 2 or Class 3 mobility products meeting UK/EU standards. The Overlander 4ZX features independent electrical systems for front and rear motors—if one fails, two-wheel-drive operation still functions.

- Max 8mph on roads, 4mph on pavements
- Must have lights, indicators, mirrors, horn (standard)
- No driving licence required but must be 14+ for road use

Payment is structured as a 50% deposit to secure your build slot, with the remaining 50% paid seven days before delivery. Delivery is typically 3–4 weeks from deposit.

Annual servicing is recommended for normal use; for very heavy use (saltwater, deep mud, regular water crossings) a service every 3 months is advised. After muddy or off-road use, hose down (not jet wash), and after beach use always rinse with fresh water.
